Automatic Account Creation:
When you sign a lease for your new apartment, the property management company sends your basic information to Conservice to set up your utility account.
Lease Start Date:
Your Conservice account is not tied to when you physically move in or move out, but rather is active for the duration of the lease that you signed with your landlord. For example, if your lease started on March 1 but you did not physically move into the unit until March 20, your Conservice billing will still begin on March 1.
Welcome Email and First Bill:
You will receive a welcome email from Conservice soon after your lease start date, with instructions to access your account on our website at www.utilitiesinfo.com. You will receive your first bill 4-6 weeks after your lease start date. (This can vary based on several factors; see Billing in Arrears for more information.) If you have not received a welcome email or first bill within 4-6 weeks of your lease start date, please Contact Us.
Important:
Please read your lease carefully! Conservice may bill you for only some of your utilities (e.g., water, sewer, trash), and you may need to establish your own accounts with other local service providers (e.g., electricity, gas). Your lease outlines which utilities are billed by Conservice and which you are responsible to sign up for. See this article about Vacant Charges for more details.
