Urgent Issues

Sometimes utility issues require immediate attention. Here are the most urgent situations and how to resolve them.

Please note: in most cases, it is your responsibility to contact the utility company. However, if you need to contact Conservice, click here for our contact information.

Utility Disconnect (the power is out, the water or gas is off)

If you rent an apartment: Check your Conservice bill for a phone number related to service problems for the disconnected utility. If Conservice does not bill you for the disconnected utility, find your bill for that service, and contact that utility provider directly.

If you rent a Single Family Home: Check your bill. If Conservice bills you for the disconnected service, contact us via phone or chat for assistance. Otherwise, contact that utility provider directly. Note: If your services are disconnected, try checking any shut off valves or circuit breakers in your home. You can contact your property management to verify where to locate those.

Homeowners in an HOA: Check your bill. If Conservice bills you for the disconnected service, contact the HOA to check for any larger issues. Otherwise, contact that utility provider directly.

Gas Leaks

Signs of a gas leak:

  • Smell: Gas has a distinct sulfur-like odor.
  • Sound: Listen for hissing, whistling, or roaring sounds.
  • Sight: Look for abnormal soil conditions, bubbling in wet areas, or discolored vegetation.

If you think there is a gas leak in your home, EVACUATE YOUR HOME IMMEDIATELY.

Gas leaks are extremely dangerous for your health and the health of others. After you have evacuated, contact the gas company that provides the service to your home.

If you rent an apartment: Contact the gas company listed on your Conservice statement or conduct an internet search for the gas company’s emergency line.

If you rent a Single Family Home: Contact the gas company listed on your Conservice statement or conduct an internet search for the gas company’s emergency line to report the leak to the company. Then, please also contact Conservice via phone or chat to inform us of the leak.

Homeowners in an HOA: Contact the gas company listed on your Conservice statement or conduct an internet search for the gas company’s emergency line to report the leak to the company. Then, please also contact Conservice to inform us of the leak, and please inform the HOA to ensure the safety of others and prompt inspections.
